Then when you come back to look something up in a constellation you can happenstance come across objects you'd forgotten, either in general, or for that constellation, or for their proximity of field to the object being looked for, sometimes reminding you that that was something you need to look at again, or maybe ought to look at again. They get written in when observed order, just by the nature of things. Logging? Dictaphone at the scope, write it up later in a ledger sized book, marked out in constallations with a best guess for page amounts per constellation, you likely know you skies by now at your lat and locale.
